I can’t figure out why people (men mostly) are convinced that women are such bad drivers. Men are typically bad drivers; that’s why their car insurance premiums are higher than women’s! The worst drivers I know are all men except one (I’m not going to name any names). The worst driver I’ve ever known is convinced that he’s the best driver in the world. Of course, he suffers from a number of delusions.
I like to look at bad driver videos on YouTube as much as anyone; they’re usually good for a laugh. The other day I was quite upset by the number of “bad woman driver” videos that came up. Even more upsetting was the fact that it was mostly the exact same video reposted by 50 different people (another pet peeve of mine). Is it really necessary to repost someone else’s video? If the video is really that great, it’s not going to fade into obscurity. Just to clarify, this reposting phenomenon that I’m referring to does not include videos of similar shows, events, etc. that may have been recorded at the same time by different people.
Anyway, back to the issue at hand. I came upon this video which was quite frustrating to watch partly because women like this perpetuate the myth that women are bad drivers and partly because I wasn’t there park the car for her which would have taken me 30 seconds as opposed to the almost 6 minutes she took.
